Better Care participates in the WS-Vent project to design a workstation to support decision-making in critically ill patients with invasive mechanical ventilation

Better Care participates together with the Institut d'Investigacó i Innovació Parc Taulí I3PT and the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research VHIR in the WS -Vent project.

This project aims to provide a data visualization tool and machine learning models to retrospectively exploit historical data already available, as well as those continuously generated in the ICU. This is intended to improve clinical decision-making and support ICU professionals in managing this demanding environment, and to benefit critically ill patients with mechanical ventilation from more precise monitoring and earlier and more accurate interventions.

The tool will be evaluated in a regular clinical environment, and will have sufficient basic characteristics for its subsequent release to the market in the form of a minimum viable product. The entities involved in the development of the project are Better Care S.L., Institut d'Investigacó i Innovació Parc Taulí I3PT, Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research VHIR. The funding for the project is 164,378.52€ (105,840.00€ grant, 58,538.52€ loan) .The publication is part of the WS-VENT project, funded by CPP2021-008340 and by the European Union-NextGenerationEU.
