The objective of SMARTVENT is to implement advanced analytical solutions using predictive models based on machine learning algorithms, capable of generating intelligent alerts. These alerts make it possible to customize the control of critical patients in mechanical ventilation, improving their care and facilitating clinical decision-making in real time.
The project has received funding through the Challes-Collaboration 2017 call, an initiative aimed at supporting projects that promote cooperation between companies and research organizations. Its purpose is to promote the development of new technologies and turn innovative ideas into products and services applicable in the clinical field.
The team responsible for carrying out SMARTVENT is multidisciplinary, composed of clinical professionals (doctors and nurses specializing in Intensive Care Medicine), engineers and data scientists, with the support of the I3PT Innovation Unit. Better Care continues to consolidate its commitment to the implementation of advanced digital solutions for critical patient care, offering tools based on data and artificial intelligence that transform healthcare standards in ICUs.
The SMARTVENT COLLABORATION CHALLENGES Project (file number RTC-2017-6193-1) investigates the use of algorithms based on physiological signals to personalize care for critically ill patients undergoing mechanical ventilation. This project has been funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the FEDER and the State Research Agency.
