Better Care opens a funding round of 1.5 million euros

The company opens the doors of the “Better Care Hub”, a space with which it consolidates its economic and social commitment to the city of SabadellThe new headquarters is positioned as a corporate center dedicated to promoting training and innovation in the healthcare sector.

The inauguration was attended by personalities such as Lluís Matas, Tinent d'Alcalde; Antonio Rodríguez, Councilor for Economic Development; Anna Aran Solé, general director of the Consorci Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí; Dolors Costa, President of the Parc Taulí Health Corporation; Montserrat Llavayol i Giralt, General Subdirectorate for Research and Innovation in Health and Dr. Lluís Blanch, director of the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT).

In the context of a growing local health and healthcare ecosystem in Sabadell, Better Care, a biotechnology company that develops software solutions based on artificial intelligence for continuous patient monitoring, has inaugurated its new headquarters, called “Better Care Hub”, located strategically at Carrer del Pare Sallarès, 153. This strategic step reflects the company's commitment to innovation and local development.

The new headquarters of Better Care in Sabadell not only represents a milestone in its growth, but also an effort to establish itself as a cutting-edge corporate center that offers a space dedicated to customer training and multipurpose areas. This project is especially important thanks to the active collaboration between public and private entities, which promote initiatives such as the Sabadell Life and Health Sciences Campus, in collaboration with Parc Taulí, among other projects.

Xavier García Ordoñez, CEO of Better Care, explains the purpose of the new headquarters:

“Better Care Hub has been designed with the premise of encouraging collaboration and creativity, offering spaces specially designed for training and the development of technological solutions based on artificial intelligence. This center, which houses a growing team of professionals dedicated to promoting innovation in health, consolidates the presence of Better Care in Sabadell, reflecting our commitment to employment generation and local development.”

For her part, Lluís Matas, the Deputy Mayor of the Sabadell City Council, has pointed out that

“With the inauguration of the Better Care headquarters, a very important asset has been added to the innovation and health ecosystem present in our city and we are very pleased that it has chosen Sabadell to grow. On February 2, the company held an opening event, which included the interventions of great speakers, including Lluís Matas, Tinent d'Alcalde; Montserrat Llavayol i Giralt, Subdirección General for Research and Innovation in Health; Anna Aran Solé, general director of the Consorci Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí, and Lluís Blanch, director of the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT). The opening event was also attended by several members of the Catalan health ecosystem, both in the management and care fields, as was the case of members of the Department of Health and other institutions such as Eurecat or Catalonia Bio and Acció.

Past, Present and Future

Better Care was founded in 2010 as a spin-off of the Parc Taulí University Hospital in Sabadell, as an innovation project of the hospital itself to respond to the need to connect, integrate and analyze clinical data from medical devices, regardless of the manufacturer, thus avoiding the loss of a global vision of the patient.

Since then, the company has stood out for offering cutting-edge solutions for the massive processing of clinical data that facilitate clinical practice for healthcare professionals, data interoperability and predictive medicine.
